Table Runner Les Fleurs

Using Les Fleurs design collection I chose white fabric and a batik vase rather then their ugly black and gold. The design has 78,000 stitches in this block. Two more plus a border and I will have a table runner. I used their suggested colors with a couple of exceptions as I did not have them/

Zipper bags

Made these zipper bags- one for Mom and one for me for the quilting retreat. Used Anita Sampler pattern size A

Used felt and 9 inch zipper

Adjustments: Use stay in mess for stabilizer. After folding repeat row 3 and 6 for a stitch line to help crease fold- lays much better.

2015: First Project: Sampler For My Sewing Room

My first project of the year is the Anita Goodesign Sampler. I'm making it for my sewing room. The project started with the AGD embroidery party in November- my team allowed me to have the blocks because the colors - pink, purple, gray work in my sewing room. The landscape sewing machine block, dress forms, and butterfly with needle came from the party. I worked to have a variety of techniques. My favorite are the confetti blocks as it's such a fun technique. I also enjoy the folded fabric borders from the Quilting Essentials collection.
